Yarn bombing, yarnbombing, yarnstorming, guerrilla knitting, urban knitting or graffiti knitting is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fibre rather than paint or chalk.

So, there you have a brief explantion of "yarn bombing"...If you google that term you will find wonderful pictures on the internet that will inspire you.  My "bombing" was done on a chair in my studio and here is that chair all finished and ready to be admired and used.
